How it all began

Neither Matt nor Sarah knew that what started as a simple conversation on a dating app would turn into a budding love story, and eventually marriage.

Early 2022 was a time of transition for both of them. As the world emerged from the pandemic, Sarah had just moved back to Baltimore after a brief stint in DC, and Matt was preparing to start a new job in an entirely new field. Finding “the one” was not exactly top of mind for either of them. When Matt saw Sarah for the first time on that chilly February day, he immediately knew she was special.

Two years later, after purchasing a home and countless thrift store and estate sale adventures, they found themselves on Hawaii’s Big Island at the southernmost point of the United States. On a rocky, blustery beach 4,800 miles from home, Matt asked Sarah the easiest question either of them had ever considered: “Will you marry me?”
